having activities related to space.

We are

Space Cooperative Europe SCE is a European cooperative for space, founded in Munich in 2020.

The perfect legal vehicle for enabling cooperation, with a clear governance and a fixed share price.

A partnership comprising various non-space and space industry partners from six countries. Within this cooperative, company shares are held by SMEs, freelancers, and research organisations, and there is a fixed share price.

Purpose

To facilitate business cooperation through marketing tools, matchmaking, and business and finance services. As a Societas Cooperativa Europaea, Space Cooperative Europe SCE (or SCE² ) is a legal entity that enables members to engage in joint activities while maintaining independence. It serves as a facilitator for cross-border and transnational activities, encouraging consortia formation and cooperation to be able to enter the space market, or to compete with larger market players. SCE² supports space-related ideas, projects, services, and initiatives.

Strategy

Partners build consortia, compete with bigger players, generate new business. SCE²  supports space-related initiatives. “Upstream space” includes research, development, manufacturing, and exploitation. “Downstream space” utilises space data for new technologies, services, and products.

Mission

To satisfy members’ needs and distribute profits proportionally to participation, not capital investment.

Vision

To make Europe stronger, more equitable, and more sustainable through space assets.

Values

Cooperatives are based on the values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity, and solidarity. Members believe in the ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility, and caring for others.
